CAMP HILL – Camp Hill Borough Councilwoman Mercedes Evans has announced her intention to run for the PA House seat to be vacated by Rep. Patty Kim’s run for State Senate. Evans was elected to Camp Hill Borough Council in 2021 and currently chairs the Public Safety and Parks and Recreation Committees. During her tenure, she has advocated and voted for initiatives that protect the long-term sustainability of the community including the pursuit of legal action relating to the tolling of the I-83 South Bridge, which would have negatively impacted residents and small business in the region. The Democrat has nearly 15 years of experience as an office administrator in the public and non-profit sectors.
