LITITZ – Lititz Borough Police filed a criminal complaint and affidavit of probable cause against 25-year-old Brian Fines of Lititz alleging he committed the crimes of burglary, theft from a motor vehicle, terroristic threats, and evading arrest. On January 30 around 8:10 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of N. Broad Street for a reported burglary in-progress. The resident reported that an unknown man attempted to enter through the back door. This was after the same man had entered two of the victim’s vehicles parked outside. The man left the area and the victim provided a description to police. Responding officers located the man, identified as Fines, matching the same description in close proximity. As officers spoke with Fines, he pushed an officer and ran a short distance on foot before being apprehended. Fines allegedly then made threats to assault and kill the officers. He was transported to Lancaster County Central Booking for arraignment. He was committed to Lancaster County Prison. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled.
