HARRISBURG – Legislation that adds motorcycles to PA’s automobile lemon law was approved by the state Senate. Currently, the law protects those who purchase vehicles by requiring manufacturers to to repair any defect that significantly affects the use, value or safety of the vehicle as long as the defect occurs within the first 12,000 miles or first year of ownership. Mercer County Sen. Michele Brooks said she sponsored legislation to provide the same protection to motorcycle owners.Senate Bill 792 passed the state Senate unanimously and is now before the PA House for consideration.
