LEBANON – Lebanon County Commissioner Bill Ames has died. Ames served as commissioner for 10 years and was a former school teacher and South Londonderry Township supervisor. Lebanon County Republican Committee Chairman, Edward Lynch, Jr. said Ames was “known for his outspokenness and staunchly conservative views.” He added that Commissioner Ames was “deeply devoted to making Lebanon County a better place for everyone who lived here; for that we all owe him our deepest gratitude and respect.” Ames was 81.
