LANCASTER – This upcoming holiday season, Lancaster’s Water Street Mission will serve nearly 45,000 meals to people experiencing homelessness. Additionally, they will give thousands of bags of groceries to those in need. The Rescue Mission Food Drive runs November 1 – December 22 with a goal of 100,000 pounds of donated food. Last year’s food drive broke all previous records, collecting 94,000 lbs. of donated food. Food donations can be dropped off at Water Street Mission’s campus or at one of the 17 participating businesses.
