LANCASTER – Police are investigating another Lancaster County shooting. Officers responded around 12:54 a.m. Sunday to the 1400 block of Newton Road in Lancaster Township for a disturbance. Several calls were received reporting a large and disruptive party at a residence. While officers were responding, additional calls were received reporting that shots were being fired. As police arrived, numerous people were seen running and using vehicles to flee the scene. Several individuals were detained and questioned. Investigators determined that one individual hosted a party, which had over 100 attendees, both inside and outside of the residence. An altercation ensued, which resulted in two unknown individuals firing multiple rounds outside. Officers recovered numerous shell casings and a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun, which had previously been reported as stolen in York. Three vehicles were struck during the incident, but no persons were injured. Anyone who can provide information should contact Manheim Township Police at 717-569-6401.
