LANCASTER – Lancaster Police are investigating the shooting death of a child. On October 18 around 7:05 p.m., officers responded to a residence on the 500 block of Woodward Street and located an infant lying on the floor with an apparent gunshot wound. Aid was given to the child, but tragically, the child died at the scene. Police have confirmed that a 3-year-old child inside of the residence fired the weapon that fatally wounded the victim.
