LANCASTER COUNTY – Lancaster County voters made their choice in several contested races. In the PA Senate, incumbent Republican Scott Martin defeated Democrat Trex Proffitt to win another term. Contested State House races have in the 37th District: Republican incumbent Mindy Fee beating Democrat John George; in the 41st District, Republican incumbent Brett Miller won over Democrat Brad Chambers; in the 96th District, Democrat Nikki Rivera won over Republican Eric Beezer to replace Rep. Mike Sturla; in the 97th District, Republican incumbent Steve Mentzer won another term by winning over Democrat Bob Rudy; and in the 98th District race, Republican incumbent Tom Jones beat Democrat Lynn McCleary. Voters in Lancaster City have approved a Home Rule Charter.
