LANCASTER – Police Departments across Lancaster County are again promoting the “Decide to Ride” initiative to prevent driving under the influence during a holiday. Anheuser-Busch, MADD and Uber have partnered for the initiative, which gives a $10 Uber voucher to riders in central Pennsylvania by scanning a QR code or entering the code “ThanksStella22” in the app. The offer is good for the first 500 people. The voucher is good for pickup or drop-off in Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties from November 23 at 1 AM to November 25 at 11:59 PM. Police Departments distribute flyers at local bars and restaurants in their jurisdictions so bartenders and owners can be proactive in assisting patrons that should get a ride instead of driving home. The initiative garnered over 20,000 impressions on social media for the Fourth of July. In total, 304 rides were provided during the Fourth of July initiative, which provided a $20 voucher. If you decide to drink this Thanksgiving, don’t drive. Decide to ride.
