QUARRYVILLE – A Lancaster County couple is facing charges after police found three young children hanging out a third-floor window calling for their parents. On Saturday evening, Quarryville Borough Police responded to the 500 block of West Fifth Street, saw the children at an open window, and attempted to get inside of the apartment. No one answered the locked door. The Quarryville Fire Department responded along with EMS and assisted in gaining entry. No adults were located inside. The three children, ages 5, 4, and 2, were found locked inside of a bedroom. The condition of the room where the children were locked inside was described as “deplorable.” Children and Youth was contacted along with the District Attorney’s Office. The parents were allegedly at the Buck Motor Sports Complex together during the time. The three children were taken into immediate custody and medically evaluated by local EMT’s. Charged with three counts of child endangerment, unlawful restraint, and false imprisonment were 27-year-old Collin Decker and 24-year-old Alexis Absher. Both were taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $40,000 bail.
