LANCASTER COUNTY – An accident in Lancaster County injured a Goods Disposal worker. Yesterday around 5:30 a.m., the worker was struck by a 2015 GMC pickup truck in front of 225 South State Street in West Earl Township. The incident occurred as the worker, a 34-year-old man, had just dismounted from a trash disposal truck to perform his duties as a loader. The worker sustained multiple injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to Lancaster General where he is in stable condition. His name has not been released. West Earl Township Police urges drivers to exercise caution when sharing the road with sanitation and utility workers, particularly during early morning hours when visibility may be reduced.
