HARRISBURG – Legislation focused on helping Pennsylvanians stay healthy is coming from Bucks County Rep. Joe Hogan. His proposal would establish the PA Physical Health Improvement Tax Credit which would allow every PA taxpayer to be eligible for a tax credit of up to $1,000 to offset the costs of gym and health club memberships. The proposal comes as Hogan proposed another piece of legislation which would create a tax credit of up to $3,000 to offset the costs of qualifying expenses related to youth sports, including equipment, travel costs and team fees. He says both pieces of legislation will hit on two issues he cares deeply about – affordability and the health of Pennsylvanians. Both pieces of legislation are awaiting the assignment of a bill number and a committee.
