HARRISBURG – Lawmakers in Harrisburg are drafting revisions to PA’s child protective services law. The Office of Children, Youth, & Families within the Department of Human Services has identified several necessary changes to the existing state law. Blair County Sen. Judy Ward, Chair of the Senate Aging & Youth Committee, is co-sponsoring the needed legislation. The department says the measure is necessary to better protect children under their supervision. The measure would bring about better information sharing with county departments as well as revising recording and recordkeeping practices.
