HARRISBURG – Our region is bracing for downpours and stormy weather from the remnants of Ida moving through according to meteorologist Joe Lundberg. He says expect tropical downpours and thunderstorms which will lead to flooding across the region as a flash flood watch is in effect until 8 a.m. tomorrow. Around-the-clock operation of the state’s Commonwealth Response Coordination Center started this morning. If you have to be out and about, be alert and don’t drive through flooded roadways. Many schools dismissed early and churches are cancelling Wednesday evening activities. You can go to wdac.com for a listing of weather related announcements. Good news is that once the system is gone from here, weather will improve and we should have a nice Labor Day holiday weekend.
