LANCASTER – A Lancaster man faces homicide by vehicle and other charges after a fatal Lancaster County crash. Police responded December 29, 2022 to the 2100 block of New Holland Pike around 12:40 p.m. after an eastbound Ford Escape crossed over the double yellow line into the oncoming westbound lane striking a Mazda CX5 nearly head-on. 63-year-old Carol Stockdale of Lititz, a passenger in the Mazda, died from her injuries while the driver, 62-year-old Kyra Dobler of Akron was hospitalized. The driver of the Ford, 29-year-old William Vaughan-Geib was also hospitalized. An investigation located both drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana inside the Ford, which was determined traveling at 65 mph prior to impact. Blood samples also revealed the presence of THC, the active ingredient of marijuana, in Vaughan-Geib’s system. He was arraigned and is currently incarcerated in Lancaster County Prison.
