LANCASTER – The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 12 noon today through 8 p.m. tonight for Lancaster & Lebanon Counties. Heat index values of up to 101 are expected. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and stay in air-conditioned areas.
AccuWeather Meteorologist Jason Caterina says a busy pattern of showers and thunderstorms will drench our area through the end of the week. Most storms will develop during the afternoon and early evening. However, some areas could experience heavy rain at any hour, disrupting both the morning and evening commutes.
