HARRISBURG – The PA House voted on four pieces of legislation related to guns. Three bills were rejected. They were House Bill 1859, called the Red Flag Law, which would allow for the confiscation of a person’s firearm without due process, a violation of the Second and 14th Amendments. House Bill 1099 would have limited the types of materials that could be used to construct firearms. House Bill 1866 would ban machine gun conversion devices. The only bill which did pass was House Bill 1593, which would require universal background check requirements to include private sales of long guns.
