LANCASTER – A Lancaster County man pleaded guilty to third degree murder, kidnapping, and other charges in connection with the death of 18-year-old Linda Stoltzfoos. Justo Smoker made the plea this morning in Lancaster County Court before Judge David Ashworth. Smoker also pleaded guilty to abuse of a corpse, evidence tampering, and possessing an instrument of crime. Smoker will receive 35 ½ to 71 years in prison. Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams said the plea was accepted after Smoker admitted to the crime and told investigators where he had buried her body. Adams called it “effectively a life sentence” for Smoker. Adams said Smoker had buried the body initially in Ronks, but later moved it to an area along railroad tracks near Smoker’s former employer.
