HARRISBURG – In an effort to ensure that Pennsylvanians have a better understanding of the COVID-19 cases in the state, York County Rep. Seth Grove sent a letter to state Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine seeking information on data the department has collected and its internal policies to provide clarity on the information the general public is receiving. Grove says he’s been keeping tabs on data disseminated from the Health Department and found some “alarming abnormalities and missing data in the information the department has released.” For example, there’s been several instances of the state’s death toll decreasing. There also appears to be a substantial lag between the time tests are conducted, results come back, and when the figures are released. He says it skews the numbers and does not allow for the ability to accurately track virus trends. Grove hopes answers to the questions in his letter will provide a clearer picture. He said it’s important the people have the most up-to-date and detailed information on the pandemic. You can read his letter by CLICKING HERE.
