LANCASTER – Former WDAC General Manager and Co-Owner, Paul Hollinger went home to be with the Lord on Saturday. He was 91. In a 1999 interview, Paul shared how in 1961 he was hired to serve as the general manager of the southern Lancaster County radio station. As a Moody Bible Institute graduate studying to be a pastor and trained in broadcast sales, Paul was approached by the family of Percy Crawford to manage the station. He told them he would manage the station temporarily, but said he managed the station temporarily for many years. Paul became a co-owner of WDAC Radio Company in 1981 and saw tremendous expansion of the station through the early 2000’s. Hollinger served in Christian radio for 53 years starting at WMBI in Chicago, WEZN in Elizabethtown and then WDAC in 1961.
A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster on Friday, September 4th at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service.
