LANCASTER – The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Lancaster, Lebanon, and Schuylkill Counties from noon today through 2 a.m. Friday. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible as heavy thunderstorms with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour could produce scattered areas of flash flooding this afternoon into late tonight. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
