HARRISBURG – Gov. Josh Shapiro has ordered U.S. and Commonwealth flags on all Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds across the state to fly at half-staff as a mark of respect for the memory of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated yesterday. Shapiro said, “Political violence has no place in our country. We must speak with moral clarity. The attack on Charlie Kirk is horrifying and this growing type of unconscionable violence cannot be allowed in our society.” The flags shall remain lowered until sunset on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
