YORK COUNTY – A fire police officer was struck and killed Friday afternoon at the intersection of Red Mill and Corn Hill Roads in Newberry Township, York County. The officer, 67-year-old Brian Peek of Newberry Township was directing traffic at the intersection following a separate vehicle crash in the area. Newberry Township Police requested the PA State Police to be the lead agency for the investigation into the incident. An autopsy has been scheduled today at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
