RED LION – A State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of a weekend fire on Lancaster Avenue in Red Lion, York County. The fire began Sunday morning in a vacant building, and quickly spread to two others. All three were completely consumed. High winds at the time pushed embers to other industrial and residential buildings in the borough. Residents in the immediate area were asked to shelter in place. It was discovered that used oil was in the building where the fire started. A York County Hazmat Team responded to handle the situation. There was one injury to a firefighter, but he refused treatment.
