HANOVER – Crews battled a three alarm fire at the North Hanover Mall in the 1100 block of Carlisle Street in Hanover yesterday afternoon. Firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from an HVAC unit at the vacant JC Penney’s building around 5:15 p.m.. Due to heavy winds, the fire blew across the rubber roof of the structure and involved multiple other roof HVAC units. One firefighter suffered a minor injury and was taken to the hospital, but was released.
