WASHINGTON, DC – On the third anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, PA U.S. Sen. John Fetterman joined the entire Senate Democratic Caucus in introducing legislation to guarantee access to abortion across the country. The Women’s Health Protection Act would prohibit states from imposing restrictions that jeopardize access to abortion, such as arbitrary waiting periods, mandatory ultrasounds or requirements to provide information. It would also protect the ability to travel out of state for an abortion. Fetterman said, “We must restore abortion access nationwide, and I’m proud to join my colleagues to introduce this bill that would do just that.”
