LANCASTER – A Norristown Police officer was killed in a crash in Lancaster County. On August 13 at 9:48 a.m., State Police say 44-year-old Brian Kozera of Blue Bell was on a bicycle when it struck a truck driven by 62-year-old John Good of East Earl at the intersection of S. Pool Forge Road and Nolt Road in Caernarvon Township. An investigation found that the bicycle proceeded through a stop sign at Nolt Road and struck the truck on the passenger side. Kozera was taken to Reading Hospital where he died from his injuries. The truck driver was not hurt. Kozera was with Norristown Police for 16 years. He had been bicycle ride training for the Ironman World Championships that are occurring in October 2022 at the time of the accident.
