BERKS COUNTY – A Berks County house fire has claimed two lives. On Monday April 28 around 6:30 a.m., authorities responded to the 700 block of White Bear Road in Robeson Township. The Geigertown Fire Chief arrived on location and reported a working house fire. Three victims were removed by responding personnel. The victims were transported by EMS to Reading Hospital. Sadly, two of the victims were pronounced dead at the hospital. Three firefighters were also injured and transported to Reading Hospital with two of them being transferred to Lehigh Valley Hospital. A number of other firefighters were also treated on scene for unspecified injuries. The firefighters that were transported to the hospital are expected to be released soon. The fire is currently under investigation by the Robeson Township Police and the State Police Fire Marshal’s Office. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined however the area of focus is on the outside of the house.
