LANCASTER COUNTY – One person died and another injured after a Monday morning crash in Lancaster County. At 7:40 a.m, police responded to the 2900 block of Lincoln Hwy East. An investigation determined that for unknown reasons, a westbound black SUV had crossed over into the opposing lane striking an eastbound truck pulling a trailer. After impact, the truck drove off the shoulder impacting a utility pole and embankment. The SUV occupants were entrapped and required extrication. The SUV driver, 24 year-old Tyeanna Morris of Hummelstown and front seat passenger, 22 year-old Tyjmere Edwards of Philadelphia, were both transported to Lancaster General Hospital for injuries. Morris was later pronounced dead. Edwards was admitted in stable condition. The driver of the truck from Chicago was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
