LANCASTER COUNTY – A Lancaster County crash has claimed a life. On Wednesday, August 13th around 4:55 p.m., Ephrata Police responded to Martindale Road between Newswanger Road and the Ephrata Township line. Police determined that an eastbound Ford Mustang driven by 19-year-old Gage Weaver of Denver lost control and slid into the westbound lane, where it hit a Ford van driven by 42-year-old Mary Yoder-Desire of Ephrata. A Honda CRV driven by 45-year-old Michael Mansi of Berwyn was westbound behind the van unable to stop, colliding with the van. Weaver died at the scene. A passenger in the van was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say speed was a factor in the crash.
