SUMMARY:The Promise Players present Casting Swine Before Pearls
DESCRIPTION:The Promise Players present “Casting Swine Before Pearls” by Brian Sylvia. This family-friendly comedy is set in a small rural church\, where the leaders are ecstatic when a longtime church member passes away and leaves his fortune to the congregation. But there is one interesting caveat: they must care for his three prized hogs…immediately! That doesn’t seem like a lot to ask for $6 million\, but when you factor in moving the pigs to the church\, the church’s most influential member Pearl June Carbuckle trying to impress a state senator\, a church secretary who does a great impression of Mrs. Carbuckle\, a new pastor\, a janitor with a “creative” grasp of the English language\, and Pearl June’s husband who has trouble seeing\, you have a hilarious sequence of events! \nShows will be held on November 6-9 and 13-16 at Lampeter Church of the Brethren: 1900 Lampeter Road\, Lancaster\, PA 17602. Thursday and Friday shows will begin at 7:30 pm\, Saturday shows at 2:30 and 7:30 pm\, and Sunday shows at 2:30 pm. \nReservations are strongly encouraged\, though seating is general admission on a first-come\, first-served basis. Reserve your seat(s) today at promiseplayers.org\, as Promise Players shows are often sold out! If needed\, call the church office Monday to Friday from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm at 717-464-2050. \nA suggested minimum donation of $12 for adults and $5 for children is payable at the door. A family cap of $50 may be applied to families with children ages 18 and under. This show will benefit Love INC of Lancaster County.
