Promise Players’ auditions for spring musical, High Cotton.

The Promise Players’ spring production is the delightfully staged musical, High Cotton, written by Dennis and Nan Allen. Set in 1929 the roaring 20s were a simpler time, complicated by prohibition and the threat of the stock market crash. It involves the members of a church and its surrounding small town community. The music is reflective of the style of the era. It is catchy and lends itself to a variety of ages, from 10 to 110.
Grandparents, parents and children are invited to audition individually or together as a family affair. Closed auditions will be held at Lampeter Church of the Brethren, 1900 Lampeter Road, Lancaster, PA on January 8, 2023 beginning at 1:30 PM.
Performance dates are March 17–19 and 23–26, 2023.
Individuals auditioning should prepare for a vocal range check. You will be asked to read an excerpt from the script and sing a verse of Amazing Grace.
