Plain Living Series: Interplay of Language, Culture, and Faith, Wednesday, May 4, 7 p.m. | Garden Spot Village Chapel
Listen in as an Old Older Mennonite historian and Ken Sensenig, church relations staff with Mennonite Central Committee East Coast, discuss the Pennsylvania German language’s important roles in the life of certain plain groups.
Mennonite Life and Garden Spot Village will co-host a series on the role of the Amish and Mennonite in the community, as well as stories from the Amish and Mennonite on their experiences. These events will be held on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. from April 27 to May 11, and will be hosted at Garden Spot Village (located at 433 S Kinzer Avenue in New Holland) in the Chapel. Each evening will be free to attend without registration.
