LANCASTER – Police are investigating a double shooting in Lancaster. Yesterday around 1:13 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of E. Chestnut Street and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, 24-year-old Carlos Bristol of Lancaster was being assisted into a vehicle when police arrived. Bristol later died of his injuries at the hospital. While officers were on the scene, a second shooting victim, an unidentified 23-year-old Lancaster man, was located behind one of the houses in the 100 block of E. Chestnut Street. That victim’s injuries were not life threatening. Based on a preliminary investigation, it appears that there may have been more than one individual firing shots. There were casings and other evidence found at the scene. Detectives also learned that there had been a large party at a nearby residence, which may be related to the shooting.
