DAUPHIN COUNTY – Police were able to catch the robber of a Dauphin County bank. Shortly after 12 noon yesterday, Lower Paxton Township Police responded to the report of a robbery at the M&T Bank in the 4900 block of Jonestown Road in Harrisburg. The suspect gave a note to a teller advising the bank was being robbed. The suspect then fled with cash. Officers were provided a description of the suspect and the escape vehicle. Approximately 1 hour later, Susquehanna Township Police located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. As a result, 57-year-old Shamont Sapp of Harrisburg was taken into custody and charged with robbery. He was arraigned and placed in Dauphin County Prison on $100,000.00 bail.
