CUMBERLAND COUNTY – An officer involved shooting in Cumberland County is under investigation. Yesterday at 6:45 p.m., West Shore Regional Police responded to Lowther Street in Lemoyne Borough for reports of a person in distress. When they arrived, the person brandished what appeared to be a handgun at the responding officers. Officers discharged their firearms striking the subject, who was not identified. The subject is currently receiving treatment at an area hospital. No officers were injured and there is no threat to the public. PSP-Troop H Major Case Team is investigating the incident in consultation with the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office.
