PALMYRA – A Lebanon County businessman is gathering volunteers together to help area restaurants that have been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Dan Grumbine stopped by a Palmyra restaurant and talked to the owner, who told them they are struggling, working long days, and can’t afford to hire more employees. He said he had to do something to help these struggling businesses, so he started the COVID Crew, a group of volunteers who wait on tables, wash dishes, clean, and do anything to help out. So far, he has 38 volunteers and is helping two different restaurants. Volunteers seek nothing in return with all tips going to the restaurant owner. He hopes to get more volunteers to help more restaurants facing tough times. If you wish to volunteer with the COVID Crew, you can contact Dan Grumbine at 856-491-3658 or email him at You can also friend him on Facebook.
