LANCASTER – Clean up is underway from Thursday’s stormy weather which downed trees and knocked out power around the region. PPL is reporting over 1,600 of its customers are still without power. First Energy reports over 2,200 of its customers are still out. A tornado warning was issued yesterday afternoon for the region. Columbia, Lancaster County, was under a State of Emergency last evening as declared by its Mayor Leo Lutz. Residents were asked to steer clear of emergency operations, downed wires, and damaged trees and buildings. A curfew was also declared in the borough for the safety of residents and to aid in the clean up efforts. Some social media posts showed what appeared to be a tornado forming over the town.
