LANCASTER – Police have filed charges against the driver of a van that struck an area pediatrician while he was in a crosswalk at N. Prince and W. Chestnut Streets in Lancaster on October 29, 2021. 51-year-old Rodolfo Paradas of Lancaster is charged with not being properly licensed, accidents involving death, and other counts. Paradas struck and seriously hurt Dr. Steven Killough, who later died from his injuries. Thanks to surveillance video, police were able to locate the suspect vehicle and interviewed Paradas. Police are trying to locate a witness to the crash. The witness was driving a dark colored Jeep Cherokee and parked in front of the Lancaster Police Department just after the crash. The witness was wearing a black vest and carrying a blue umbrella. The witness walked in to the police station lobby, but left before an officer was able to speak with him.
