LANCASTER COUNTY – A Lancaster man faces arson, criminal trespass, and other charges after a Lancaster building fire. 42-year-old Robert Ream was arrested after units responded yesterday to the 900 block of N. Queen Street for a report of a fire in the basement. Upon arriving, a witness identified Ream as the person who started the fire. Ream fled the area on foot, was later located, and detained. Ream had been living in the basement of the building. On March 24, he was asked to leave. He remained hiding in the basement overnight and intentionally started a fire. The building was occupied at the time. During his detention, Ream kept pulling away from the officer, requiring force to be used to effect the arrest. Ream was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
