WASHINGTON, DC – PA’s two U.S. senators split their vote for President Biden’s choice to run the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. By a 50-49 vote, senators confirmed Xavier Becerra as Health Secretary. LifeNews.com called Becerra a career politician with no medical background and a pro-abortion record that includes prosecuting undercover journalists, supporting partial birth abortions, and attempting to force nuns who serve the poor and elderly to fund abortions. Becerra was attorney general of California and has served in the U.S. House. PA U.S Sen. Bob Casey voted to approve Becerra while Sen. Pat Toomey voted against the nominee.
