HARRISBURG – PA House lawmakers approved the so-called One Staffer-One Shopper Bill to let many retail stores remain open during a declared state of disaster emergency. Supporters say it would safely prevent smaller businesses from going broke. House Bill 747 would enable small retail stores to open if they limit to one staffer interacting with one shopper in the store at any given time. It also would allow small retailers to provide curbside pickup service instead of opening their stores to customers. The proposal was sent to the state Senate.
