LANCASTER – Lancaster County Sen. Ryan Aument has been appointed a member of the COVID-19 Vaccine Joint Task Force, which was created to provide a mechanism for accurate, timely information sharing via a streamlined set of communicators between the legislative and executive branches of state government. One member from each legislative caucus will serve on the group. Aument says he’d like to see a Vaccination Czar appointed. It should be someone with expertise of logistical or operational planning at a statewide level, such as a retired CEO or military officer. He looks forward to working with his colleagues through this collaborative approach to address the challenges in distributing the COVID-19 vaccine in an efficient, effective, and equitable manner.
