YORK COUNTY – An investigation is underway after an attempted child abduction in New Freedom, York County. Around 6:25 p.m. yesterday, a white female in her 20’s with her hair pulled up, driving a dark colored pickup truck in the area of Heritage Court and E. Franklin Street was alleged to have approached a child while walking at a fast pace with her arms out as if she was going to grab the child. The child retreated into their home and locked the door. The child did not know the woman who left in the pickup. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 in York County or Southern York County Regional Police at 717-854-5571.
