LITITZ – Lititz Borough police are asking the public for help in identifying the driver of an oversized truck that pulled down wires onto a borough street without stopping. The large truck hauling a shed pulled down cable wires onto the 600 block of South Spruce Street on Sept. 21, 2026. After pulling the wires down the truck did not stop. A nearby resident reported hearing the truck catching the cable lines and captured a photo of the vehicle, though the vehicle’s license plate was not legible. The 600 block of Spruce Street was forced to close due to the fallen wires until Pennsylvania Power & Light and a cable company were able to make the necessary repairs. Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is asked to contact the Lititz Borough Police Department at 717-626-6393. Tips can also be submitted through their crimewatch page. Tipsters can remain anonymous and do not have to give their names. Information which leads to the arrest and conviction of this suspect could result in a reward through Crime Stoppers.
