LANCASTER – Gov. Tom Wolf joined with local business and government leaders at Silantra Asian Street Kitchen in Lancaster to highlight $6 million in COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Recovery Program or CHIRP funding going to Lancaster County to help over 300 businesses. Silantra received $15,000 in CHIRP funding and 316 other Lancaster County businesses received grants. Gov. Wolf said
the state has made significant progress rebounding from the COVID-19 pandemic, but our hospitality industry still needs support. He applauded small business owners for their courage, tenacity, and creativity during the past year and a half. Wolf added his administration stands firm in their commitment to continuing to support them as they move forward in recovery. Last year, Gov. Wolf secured $145 million in funding supporting businesses adversely affected by the pandemic. Since then, the state has worked with counties and economic development partners to quickly send assistance to the hospitality industry.
